Wann kommt Raspbian "Bullseye" 11 heraus?

  • Hallo zusammen

    Debian 11 ist bekanntlich nun "stable", nun stellt sich für mich die Frage, wie es denn mit Raspbian aussieht? Ich gehe davon aus, dass es da immer eine gewisse "Zeitlücke" gibt, bis die nächste Debian-Version auf Raspbian adaptiert wird...?

    Was denkt ihr, wie lange dies "in etwa" dauern wird? Oder gibt es da bereits feste Pläne dafür?

    Dann hast du die sources.list von "buster" auf "bullseye" geändert und upgradet.

    Somit hast du kein reines raspberry Pi OS mehr, sondern eine "Mischung aus RaspberryPi OS und Debian"

  • Das stimmt. Ich habe tatsächlich die sources.list auf bullseye umgestellt. Mir war nicht klar, dass das jetzt eine "Mischung" ist. Aber es läuft ;)

    Aber es läuft ;)

    Du solltest aber nicht davon ausgehen, dass es zukünftig zu jeder Zeit und unter allen Umständen stabil laufen wird. Ein Versions-Mix hat noch nie einem Betriebssystem gut getan. Du hast verschiedene Ebenen (Kernel, Treiber, Module, Anwendungen, ...) die auf einer Hardware (CPU, GPU, Schnittstellen, ...), die zusammenpassen müssen.

    Bei einem Versions-Mix, wie Du ihn erzeugt hast, kannst Du nicht mehr davon ausgehen, dass weitere Updates zu stabilen Ergebnissen führen. Z.B. kann das Update von sicherheitsrelevanten Themen verhindert werden, weil da schon Bulls-Eye-Komponenten eingreifen.

    Viele Programme prüfen, welche Versionen (Kernel, Treiber, Module, ...) aktiv sind und verhält sich entsprechend. Bei diesen Prüfungen gilt das erstbeste Ergebnis. Das heißt, das eine Programm kommt zu dem einen Ergebnis und verhält sich. Ein anderes Programm kommt zu eine anderen Ergebnis und verhält sich anders.

    Unter dem Aspekt wäre es interessant, was ein Anti-Virus-Programm da vermutet - und sich verhält.

    Du hast Dir ein System geschaffen, dass in seinem Verhalten gar nicht mehr eingeschätzt werden kann. Halte uns mal auf dem Laufenden - weise uns aber bitte bei jedem Problem auf die spezielle Installation hin. Das spart Erklärungsversuche und reduziert Lösungsvorschläge.

    Habe vor Jahren mal versucht - mit dem Kernel von der ARMHF-Version von Debian.org... dafür musste ich extra mit spez. Tools die bei Raspbian sehr keine /boot-Partition vergrössern (war zu klein für 2 Kernel gleichzeitig) Ging aber trotzdem nicht.

    Betr. anderem Kernel: Kennt sich jemand mit https://repozytorium.mati75.eu/ aus?? Von dem Typen bekommt man keine Antwort, er scheint aber quasi "auf eigene Rechnung" ein backports-Repo zu betreiben - was debian.org sonst tut jedoch nicht Raspbian...

    Soll heissen, wenn auf einem RPi mit <=1GB bootet wird openbox benutzt und ab 2GB mutter? Kennt jemand mutter und etwas dazu sagen wie es im Vergleich zu openbox ist? Ich nehme an, dass es schon mal mehr Speicher benötigt.
