USB-Ser Adapter wird nicht erkannt

L I V E Stammtisch ab 20:30 Uhr im Chat
  • Habe 3 St. USB-Ser (uart/ttl) Adapter. Die werden sowohl im Raspi als auch im PC nicht erkannt. Das eine stammt von AZ-Delivery und 2 andere aber absolut gleiche Platine beim Ali gekauft.

    Im PC (Gerätemanger) nur als " unknown device" aufgeführt. Im Raspi mit lsusb nicht zu shen.

    Hat jemand eine Idee an was es liegen könnte?

  • Dann sind deine Adapter wohl defekt, Fakeadapter oder es fehlt einfach nur der richtige Treiber dafür. Man könnte z.B. mit dem Befehl dmesg prüfen, was evtl. das Problem ist. Am besten mal dmesg -wH eingeben und danach den / die Adapter einstecken.

  • Der HL-340 USB funktioniert. Der dient zum auslesen des Wechselrichters. Der andere ist mit einen FTDI Cip. Wird also nicht erkannt.

    Kannst Du irgendwas erkennen aus dem screenshot. Und die Frage wie kommet man wieder zurück auf die Systemebene? exite geht nicht.

  • Der Plan, dmesg mit der Option -wH aufzurufen war eigentlich, nur die Ausgaben des Problemgerätes nach dem Einstecken zu bekommen. Mit STRG+C beendet man diesen Modus wieder. Haben den die beiden Problemadapter überhaupt schon mal funktioniert? Hast Du es mal an einem anderem USB2 bzw. USB3 Port versucht?

  • nein, keiner der 3 hat funktioniert auch an anderen usb ports. Was mich wundert das selbst der bei AZ-Delivery gekaufte auch nicht tut. Hätte ja sein können das die über Ali gekaufte Fakes sind.

  • Es gibt ja nicht nur einen USB serial USB Chip von FTDI und wenn Du einen falschen Treiber für den Chip bzw. für das Betriebssystem installierst, wird der Adapter nicht als virtueller COM Port erkannt bzw. funktioniert dann nicht. Auch wenn ein China-Shop schreibt, das es ein xyz Adapter ist, muß das noch nichts heißen. War denn der Treiber welchen Du installiert hast, bei deinem Adapter dabei oder hast Du diesen selbst ausgewählt? Wichtig ist das der Treiber auch zum Adapter ( Vendor & Device ID ) passt. Um was für einen USB COM Port Adapter handelt es sich überhaupt? (Bild / Link)

  • Hab mal aus meiner Bastelkiste einen baugleichen Adapter rausgesucht und an einem Linuxrechner in Betrieb genommen:

    War halt preiswerte Chinaware, vielleicht ist es ja bei dir auch so. Evtl. probierst Du mal ein anderes USB Kabel, normaler Weise sollte ja bei einem Ladekabel nur 5V & GND verbunden sein, es gibt aber auch Kabel mit einem Widerstand an den Datenbus, dann wäre so ein Verhalten denkbar.

  • Ich habe ihn 2 Mal gekauft. Der eine haengt staendig an einem Breadboard mit dem ich ESP8266's flashe und den anderen hatte ich an einen CM4 angeschlossen um ein RaspbianOS Bug zu debuggen. (CM4 ist das Compute Model 4 der Raspberry Foundation).

    Per USB Verlängerungskabel (frueher USB2, jetzt USB3) habe ich beide Adapter jeweils an meinen Linux Mint Desktop ohne Probleme verbunden.

    Steckst Du den Adapter direkt in Dein WIndowssystem oder nutzt Du auch ein Verlaengerungskabel? Wenn ja verbinde den Adapter doch mal direkt ohne Verlaengerung. Je nach Qualitaet des Kabels kann es da durchaus Probleme geben.

    Hast Du mal einen Link auf das Teil was Du geordert hast? Ist schon merkwuerdig dass ein Mini USB B Stecker genutzt wird. Standard ist eigentlich USB A :conf:

    Nein. Du verstehst mich nicht richtig :( Ich nutze den Adapter direkt an einem ESP wie auch dem CM4. Der CM4 ist eine spezielle Raspberry HW - also kein normaler Raspberry 3B+ oder Raspi4 - aber er steckt in den Raspi400 drin.

    Es ist aber auch egal wo er angeschlossen wird. Man verbindet einfach TX und RX des Adapters mit dem RX und TX des Endgeraets. Auch wenn kein Endgerat angeschlossen ist meldet sich der USB Adapter.
